Tracking life limited parts with EFPAC

Most aircraft engines contain Life Limited Parts (LLPs).  EFPAC tracks these LLP’s as part of the engine tracking described in the previous page. The life remaining on these parts is automatically assessed every time actual utilisation is updated. Non Life Limited Parts are also catered for by EFPAC.

LLP’s and engine removals

In the prediction mode EFPAC determines the date at which the engine will have no life remaining on the minimum life part. This is highlighted for the user in the form of coloured flags on the EFPAC graphical display.

Back to birth parts traces made easy

EFPAC produces a trace history for parts that have been tracked in the program, and any pre-EFPAC history can be loaded into the system. The benefit of this function is that a full back to birth trace is available at the click of a button.

Of course, Life Limited Parts are not the only restricter of ultimate engine life. AD’s and other Controls and Limitations also exist.
